We couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful day to celebrate the wedding of Mr. and Mrs. Hartel here at Pigeon River Hills. Wisconsin truly showed off with 80-degree sunshine, blue skies, and a light breeze that made the entire day feel like a dream.

The morning began with a calm sense of excitement as final touches were made across the property. From the carefully arranged florals to the inviting setup for brunch, everything was set for a perfect outdoor ceremony. Guests arrived smiling, greeted by the peaceful beauty of our venue—surrounded by nature, rolling fields, and the charm that makes Pigeon River Hills such a special place.

The ceremony took place in the open air, with the sun gently shining down as the couple exchanged vows. It was an intimate and emotional moment, full of joy and laughter. The natural setting created a serene and timeless backdrop, perfectly framing the couple’s first moments as husband and wife.

A huge part of what made the day flow so beautifully was the vision and coordination of Vicki with Margari48 and her amazing crew. Vicki has an eye for detail and a true gift for bringing dream weddings to life. From ceremony to brunch, her team didn’t skip a beat. Every detail was thoughtfully executed, every moment ran seamlessly, and the atmosphere stayed joyful and stress-free from start to finish. We’re always thrilled to work alongside such a dedicated and talented group.

Following the ceremony, guests made their way to our outdoor bar where Mimosas and Bloody Marys were served. The bar quickly became a lively gathering place where guests relaxed, toasted the newlyweds, and enjoyed each other’s company. It was a warm and welcoming atmosphere—exactly the kind of vibe that makes outdoor weddings so memorable.

One of the standout features of the day was the incredible brunch, catered by Stefano’s Slo Food Market. Their team delivered a menu that was both elevated and comforting, filled with locally sourced ingredients and flavorful dishes that had guests going back for seconds. From savory frittata and decadent French toast bake to seasonal fruits and pastries, every item was beautifully presented and delicious. The brunch added a relaxed and festive energy to the celebration and gave everyone time to sit, connect, and soak in the moment.

As the day continued, guests took full advantage of everything Pigeon River Hills has to offer. Some wandered through the open spaces, others gathered around outdoor seating areas or lawn games, and many took photos in front of our barn and signature rustic features. The laid-back nature of the event allowed everyone to truly enjoy the setting without feeling rushed.

But above all, what made the Hartel & Gutierrez wedding so special was the couple themselves. Their joy was contagious, their connection undeniable, and their love deeply felt by everyone in attendance.
